fluffy coat / OOTD

jacket - primark/jumper - zara/jeans - topshop/bag - newlook/boots - primark

My first OOTD with my new tripod, I had to wait a while because of the typical british weather! Just a casual college outfit featuring my fluffy coat from primark, this is my favourite item of clothing I've brought so far this autumn winter. It was only £22.50 and I love it! Primark are the best aren't they? Im also wearing topshops coated joni jeans which look like leather trouser but are as comfy as leggings. I wear these on casual days like today or I even dress them up with heels and a nice cami to go out in.

My photos are also looking blurry and contrasty and I don't know why, they look fine on my camera and laptop but when I upload them into a post they change. Is there something I can do to stop this from happening, if anyone can help me I would appreciate it lots!

To celebrate her birthday heres just a few of my favourite outfits she worn. From red carpet looks to her casual street style I think she looks amazing all the time, can you tell I love her? Let me know what you think her best looks are?

autumn/winter inspiration

all images from tumblr

As the autumn months roll in its a chance for us all to ditch the demin cut offs and floral dresses and to grab our oversized coats and jeans. Chunky black boots and layering are the key to surviving the british winter and as the colder days (and nights) start rolling in theres something familiar about wearing multiple layers and thermal socks with your boots.

When the seasons change I have the urge to go shopping to buy a whole new wardrobe, as last years bobbly knitted jumpers just aren't good enough, but with the amount of choice online and in shops I have no idea what to buy. Being a poor college student who has to pay a ridiculous amount of train fare each month I simply can't afford to spend hundreds on items I probably don't need. With my saved items list on asos going into the thousands I need to slap myself on the hand and just buy what I actually need, like a coat so I don't freeze to death...

I love getting inspiration from tumblr and instagram on what Id love to be wearing and I'm sure everybody else does too. Heres just a few images Ive found that are inspiring me this week...

Plain Jane

coat - h&m / jeans - topshop / tshirt - primark

Just a quick plain outfit that I wore to work the other day. I'm not someone who plans what im going to wear the next day at night so when im running late ill just chuck on my basic's and run out the door. Hopefully in the next few weeks I should be getting a tripod for better outfit posts but for the time being (as I keep spending my money on food) it'll have to wait.

The Magical World of Harry Potter

*warning* A photo heavy post. Last week I was lucky enough to go to the Happy Potter Studios in London. Like most of the world I love everything about the Harry Potter films and books and getting to go to the studios was like being in the films, except I didn't get to have a game of quidditch with Ron and Harry. If you have the chance to go you should, but as a warning... butter-beer is discusting.

BarryM matte nail polish

After seeing hundreds of photos of matte black nails on instagram or tumblr I've been on the hunt for find matte nail varnish that is affordable and after popping into superdrug and seeing these for £3.99 I had to have them. There was also a 3 for 2 offer on as well at the time so obviously I had to pick up three! The colours are lovely, 'crush' is my favourite, I have it on as I type.

The only negative I have is that because of the matte finish I cant use my regular top coat because it will take the matte effect away. However, I do think that there are a few matte top coats that when put on top of this nail polish will just add to its finish and make them last longer.

If you are looking for matte nail polish then these three colours are lovely, there's also two other colours... 'caramel' and 'mocha' a dark and light brown. For the price you can't go wrong! If there's any other matte polish's you recommend do let me now.

I'm back and dressed all in black

coat - topshop / jumper - topshop(sale) / jeans - topshop / boots - newlook / headband - topshop

Firstly, I have to apologise for not posting for over half a year. I can list hundreds of excuses but it doesn't matter now because I am back, finally! I've got a new camera, and will be getting a tripod soon so expect better outfit posts in the future. All I want now is for it to stop raining every single day so I can take photos outside. I really dislike winter, I'm already very very excited for spring and summer. Anyway, I promise to start posting at least twice a week from now on, so be ready for more posts yay!
